Welcome to the Wycheproof Caravan Park, a shady, quiet, and welcoming retreat in the heart of Victoria’s Mallee region. Perfectly positioned at the northern end of town, this community-run park provides an ideal and affordable base for travellers exploring the world-famous Silo Art Trail. Situated on the Calder Highway, the park is just a convenient 10-minute walk from the town centre, where you’ll find essential services including a supermarket, bakery, cafes, and two classic country pubs.
The park is a key destination for adventurers and sightseers alike. It serves as the perfect launching point for discovering the region’s unique natural and man-made wonders. A short drive will take you to the stunning salt-pan landscape of Lake Tyrrell, a mecca for photographers, or to the recreational waters of nearby Tchum, Watchem, and Wooroonook Lakes, which are popular for fishing and watersports. The park itself is adjacent to local sporting facilities, including all-weather tennis courts and an 18-hole golf course (open seasonally, April to September).
One of the town’s major attractions, Mount Wycheproof, is within walking distance. Known as the world’s smallest registered mountain, it stands just 43 metres above the surrounding plains, offering a gentle walk to the summit for a fantastic panoramic view of the vast agricultural landscape. Whether you are setting up for a night or a week, the Wycheproof Caravan Park offers clean facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and unbeatable access to the best of the Buloke Shire. Its combination of convenience, natural beauty, and strategic location makes it a must-stop location for anyone travelling through north-west Victoria.
