Tully Memorial Park – North Maclean

Tully Memorial Park, located in North Maclean, serves as an incredibly convenient and popular free rest area for travellers exploring the region south of Brisbane. Managed by the Logan City Council, this park offers a designated area for self-contained caravans and motorhomes for a maximum 24-hour stay. Its prime location directly on the Mount Lindesay Highway makes it an easily accessible stopover for those heading north towards Brisbane or south towards Beaudesert and the scenic rim. The camping area is a large, relatively flat gravel space separate from the main park, providing ample room for several vehicles. While basic, the site is valued for its practicality, offering essential amenities such as clean public toilets and rubbish bins. There are no power or shower facilities, reinforcing its suitability for fully self-contained travellers. The adjacent parkland features grassy areas, a playground for children, and picnic tables, making it a pleasant spot to take a break from the road. One of the main considerations for visitors is the potential for road noise, given its proximity to the busy highway. However, for a free, safe, and well-maintained overnight stop with easy access to the amenities of nearby suburbs like Jimboomba and Greenbank, Tully Memorial Park is an excellent and highly regarded option within the travelling community.
