The campground itself is located within the well-maintained town gardens, providing a pleasant, grassy environment for a short stay. It’s a popular choice for those travelling in self-contained caravans, motorhomes, and big rigs, offering a welcome respite without the cost of a commercial caravan park.

While it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, its size generally accommodates overnight travellers without issue. The local council provides essential amenities, including clean public toilets and access to potable water, which are significant conveniences for a free site.
