Redcliffe Showgrounds Camping, Redcliffe QLD

The Redcliffe Showgrounds offers a practical and highly convenient camping option for travellers visiting the vibrant Redcliffe Peninsula. Primarily serving as a hub for events, including the annual Redcliffe Show, motorhome rallies, and various community festivals, the grounds provide a no-frills, spacious, and affordable base for those with self-contained vehicles. Its key appeal lies in its central location and functionality. This isn’t a resort-style caravan park, but rather a large, open space that offers the essentials of power and water in an incredibly handy position. It’s the perfect choice for visitors attending an event on-site, or for seasoned travellers looking for a simple, cost-effective place to park up for a few nights while they explore all that the surrounding area has to offer.

The camping area consists of expansive, flat grassy fields, providing ample room to manoeuvre even the largest of rigs. While amenities are basic, they are well-maintained and cover all the necessities, including access to toilets, showers, and a dump point. The atmosphere is typically relaxed and communal, especially during event periods. One of the major advantages of staying at the showgrounds is the ability to easily access Redcliffe’s main attractions without having to navigate tighter suburban streets with a large vehicle. You can set up your base and then use a smaller vehicle or public transport to get around.

From the showgrounds, you are just a few minutes’ drive from the heart of the peninsula. This includes the iconic Redcliffe Jetty, the family-friendly Settlement Cove Lagoon, and a fantastic stretch of cafes and restaurants along Redcliffe Parade. The beautiful shores of Scarborough and the weekend markets are also within easy reach. For travellers who prioritise location, space, and value over extensive facilities, the Redcliffe Showgrounds presents an excellent and strategic option for a short-term stay, providing a gateway to the beaches, history, and relaxed lifestyle of this popular seaside destination.
