Nature and adventure lovers will find Poplar Caravan Park to be the ideal base for high-country exploration. The region is a premier destination for fossicking, with the “Glen Innes Blue” sapphires attracting treasure hunters from across the globe to the nearby Reddestone Creek. Beyond the gemstones, the surrounding world-heritage-listed national parks, including Washpool and Gibraltar Range, offer a spectacular tapestry of ancient rainforests and dramatic granite outcrops. Whether you are photographing the vibrant deciduous trees in autumn or enjoying the crisp, clear mountain air in the height of summer, the distinct four-season climate of Glen Innes ensures that every visit offers a different and beautiful perspective of the Australian landscape.
