Nestled just a few kilometres from the heart of Australia’s Art Deco capital, Oasis Caravan Park in Leeton offers a distinctively tranquil escape for travellers exploring the New South Wales Riverina. Unlike the bustling town-centre parks, Oasis is situated on Corbie Hill Road, providing a quiet bush setting that feels worlds away from the noise of the highway while remaining conveniently close to local amenities. This park is an ideal base for grey nomads, families, and solo adventurers looking to immerse themselves in the region’s rich agricultural history and natural beauty.
Leeton is famous as the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, often referred to as the “Food Bowl of Australia.” A stay at Oasis Caravan Park places you perfectly to explore this abundance. You are only a short drive from the town’s heritage-listed Art Deco buildings, including the iconic Roxy Theatre, and the Visitor Information Centre where you can learn about the massive rice and citrus industries that drive the local economy. The park’s serene atmosphere is complemented by its pet-friendly policy, ensuring your four-legged companions are welcome to join the adventure.
For nature enthusiasts, the park serves as a gateway to the spectacular Fivebough Wetlands, a Ramsar-listed site of international importance. Just a short distance away, these wetlands offer some of the best birdwatching in the country, teeming with migratory waterbirds and local species. After a day of exploring the wetlands or touring the nearby Whitton Malt House, guests can return to the relaxed environment of the park. The sites are spacious, offering a mix of shade and open areas, catering to caravans of various sizes.
The park facilities are designed for comfort and convenience without losing that authentic bush camping feel. With essential amenities including clean toilets, showers, and a laundry, it covers the basics well. Whether you are passing through on a lap of the map or settling in to discover the hidden gems of the Riverina, Oasis Caravan Park provides a restful, friendly, and affordable stopover in one of New South Wales’ most productive and picturesque regions.
