Devils Cove Camp Ground, Lake Eildon National Park

Devils Cove Campground is one of the premier camping destinations within the magnificent Lake Eildon National Park, offering a superb blend of natural beauty and excellent facilities. Located in the popular Fraser Camping Area on the western shores of the lake, this campground is a haven for families, boaters, and anyone seeking a comfortable and scenic base for their High Country adventure. The campsites are set within a beautiful woodland of native eucalypts, providing a wonderful sense of being immersed in nature while still having convenient access to the water’s edge. The campground is well-laid-out, with numerous designated sites suitable for tents, camper trailers, and caravans, many offering picturesque glimpses of the lake through the trees.Unlike many free bush camps in the region, Devils Cove is a well-equipped Parks Victoria campground where bookings and fees are required. This ensures a well-managed experience with top-notch amenities, including modern toilet blocks with flush toilets and hot showers, laundry facilities, and a camp kitchen. The proximity to the lake is the main drawcard, with easy access to boat ramps making it a hub for waterskiing, fishing, and kayaking. When the lake levels are high, the cove provides a sheltered bay perfect for swimming. As it is a national park, strict rules apply to protect the environment and wildlife: dogs, generators, and firearms are not permitted. Fires are allowed only in the designated communal fireplaces, and you must bring your own firewood. With its fantastic facilities, stunning location, and abundance of recreational activities, Devils Cove is an ideal choice for a memorable and comfortable family holiday on the beautiful Lake Eildon.
