Corella Creek Country Farm Stay – Julia Creek

Corella Creek Country Farm Stay is not just a campground; it’s a unique and unforgettable outback experience that captures the quirky and resilient spirit of North West Queensland. Located on a working cattle station between Julia Creek and Cloncurry, this is a destination that offers far more than just a place to park your van. The highlight and main drawcard are the private artesian baths. Each campsite has its own rustic, open-air bath, where guests can soak in the warm, mineral-rich water from the Great Artesian Basin under the vast outback sky—an absolutely magical experience, especially at sunset or under a blanket of stars. The campground itself offers spacious powered and unpowered sites set in a peaceful, natural bush environment. The hosts are renowned for their warm, genuine hospitality, creating a friendly and communal atmosphere. The farm stay is also home to a menagerie of rescue animals, which adds to its unique charm. This is a place to truly disconnect and unwind. The facilities are rustic but clean and well-maintained, including toilets and showers. Its location makes it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding ‘Overlander’s Way’ route, with Julia Creek’s famous Dunnart tours and Cloncurry’s rich mining history within easy reach. For travellers seeking an authentic, relaxing, and memorable stay that goes beyond a standard caravan park, Corella Creek is an absolute must-visit.
