Bongaree Caravan Park, Bribie Island QLD

Embracing a classic, laid-back coastal charm, Bongaree Caravan Park is perfectly situated on the idyllic waterfront of the Pumicestone Passage on beautiful Bribie Island. This park is a beloved destination for families, grey nomads, and fishing enthusiasts who appreciate its prime location and relaxed atmosphere. It offers the quintessential caravan park holiday, where the calm, protected waters are just a stone’s throw away, providing a safe haven for swimming, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. The park is spread out with spacious, shady sites, creating a comfortable and traditional camping environment that encourages you to slow down and soak in the serene island lifestyle. Waking up to the sound of local birdlife and the gentle sea breeze is all part of the Bongaree experience.

The park’s main drawcard is undoubtedly its direct access to the water and its unbeatable convenience. A boat ramp is located adjacent to the park, making it incredibly easy for boaties to launch their vessel and explore the magnificent marine park of the Pumicestone Passage, renowned for its dolphins, dugongs, and fantastic fishing. The foreshore in front of the park is part of an extensive network of flat walking and cycling paths that trace the coastline, leading you directly to the main Bongaree precinct with its vibrant collection of cafes, shops, the Bribie Island RSL, and the local jetty, a popular spot for fishing and pelican spotting.

While the facilities are more traditional than resort-style, they are clean, well-maintained, and provide everything needed for a comfortable stay, including amenity blocks, laundry facilities, and a dump point. Its pet-friendly policy (on sites, with application) makes it a popular choice for those travelling with their four-legged friends. For a holiday that harks back to simpler times, focusing on nature, convenience, and pure relaxation, Bongaree Caravan Park is an outstanding choice, offering a true slice of Bribie Island paradise.
