Discover the ultimate nature escape at Beachcomber Holiday Park, a unique coastal retreat nestled at the end of the road in Potato Point. Completely surrounded by the lush bushland of the Eurobodalla National Park and bordered by the pristine sands of two spectacular beaches, this park offers a rare opportunity to disconnect from the modern world. As a solar-powered, off-grid destination, Beachcomber prides itself on providing a sustainable holiday experience where the focus is on the raw beauty of the Sapphire Coast, the abundance of local wildlife, and the soothing sounds of the Pacific Ocean.
The park’s location at Blackfellows Point is arguably one of the most secluded and beautiful spots in southern New South Wales. Guests enjoy direct access to both the surf-washed Main Beach and the more sheltered waters of Beachcomber Beach, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and beachcombing. The area is a haven for wildlife; it is a common sight to see kangaroos and wallabies grazing calmly beside your caravan, or emus strolling through the park grounds. The absence of streetlights and town noise means the night skies are exceptionally dark, offering spectacular stargazing opportunities that are increasingly hard to find elsewhere.
Accommodation at Beachcomber Holiday Park is designed to blend seamlessly with its natural environment. From fully self-contained cabins that offer a touch of luxury in the wilderness to spacious, grassy powered and unpowered sites for caravans, motorhomes, and tents, there is an option for every type of nature lover. Being off-grid, the park uses high-tech solar systems to provide power, and while this encourages a more mindful use of energy, guests still enjoy modern comforts including clean amenities blocks, a well-equipped camp kitchen, and the famous wood-fired pizza nights that have become a staple of the Beachcomber experience.
Beyond the park boundaries, the region offers a wealth of exploration. A short drive leads to the historic village of Bodalla, famous for its artisanal cheeses and heritage architecture, or the coastal town of Tuross Head with its stunning lake systems. Nature enthusiasts can explore the many walking trails within the Eurobodalla National Park or head to the nearby Tuross River for exceptional fishing and kayaking. At Beachcomber Holiday Park, you aren’t just booking a campsite; you are choosing a sustainable, nature-first lifestyle that celebrates the very best of the Australian outdoors, where the ocean provides the entertainment and the forest provides the sanctuary.
