Pros

  • Ultra-fast recharging — goes from empty to 80% in about 45 minutes and 100% in roughly 58 minutes using AC (or AC+solar combined), among the fastest in its class.
  • Strong power output — 2,400W of rated continuous power with up to 4,000W peak, enough for demanding appliances like kettles, microwaves, air fryers, and power tools.
  • Good capacity with expansion option — 2,048Wh battery, expandable up to 4,096Wh with a BP2000 Gen 2 expansion battery
  • Very low idle/standby power draw — around 9W idle consumption, notably lower than many competitors that idle at 20-30W, meaning less wasted capacity during long outages.
  • Lightweight and compact for its class — weighs 18.9 kilo about 25% lighter than the industry average, and measures 459 x 250 x 257mm, roughly 29% smaller than similar products.
  • Quiet operation — even at full power its fans stay far quieter than other powerful Anker stations, producing just a subdued, easily-backgrounded whirr.
  • UPS/bypass functionality — AC outlets can be used in bypass mode while charging, acting as an uninterruptible power supply, switching to battery within 10ms if power is cut.

Cons

  • No 5521 DC port — lacks a DC5521 socket, which would have been an efficient way to power low-draw DC devices like a router.
  • No built-in light — unlike some other Anker units, this model has no built-in camping light (though reviewers note it’s not a big loss given its size).
  • Charging efficiency drops at low wattage — testing showed 88.2% charge efficiency at 2400W and 89.4% at 1000W, but only 77% at 200W slow charging, due to fan and overhead losses.
  • Not for very high continuous loads — if you need more than 2,400W continuous output, this isn’t the right station; whole-home backup needs a bigger system.
