Pros

Cons

  • 12V only – Exclusively engineered for 12V batteries and not compatible with 24V/36V packs, limiting flexibility if you plan to scale up
  • No polarity converter – Has no polarity converter, so you must always verify correct positive/negative connections yourself to avoid damage
  • Strict connection order matters – You must connect the battery to the controller first, then the solar panel — and disconnect in reverse order, which is easy to get wrong if you’re new to solar
  • Panel wattage ceiling – Limited to roughly 130–150W (or up to ~300W depending on the exact listing variant), so it can’t support larger arrays
  • Brand is relatively new/budget-tier – AeternaSol is a newer entrant in a crowded market of near-identical rebadged controllers (SOLPERK, SunRock, VUICCI, etc.), so long-term reliability data is limited
